Western Michigan is off to a hot start on the recruiting trail, however it seems that they are targeting one state in particular. That is Illinois. Five of the Bronco's six current commitments hail from the Land of Lincoln. One program that has always had great success in finding hidden gems within Illinois is Northern Illinois, however it looks like Western Michigan is taking a page out of NIU's book and recruiting the state early and often this recruiting cycle.
The most recent commit is running back Prince Walker who currently attends Montini Catholic in Lombard, Illinois.
Walker announced his decision on his Twitter page Tuesday morning.

The 5-foot-10 180 pound running back chose the Broncos over reported offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Northern Illinois, and Illinois State.
As a junior, Walker gained a total of 1,399 yards and 22 TD's on a state-championship winning team. He will bring a ton of speed with him to Kalamazoo and possesses the ability to break open a big gain at any time.
