2017 Miami Football Recruiting: S Donte Taylor Commits to the RedHawks

Miami picked up its first DB commit of the 2017 class today.

St. Vincent-St. Mary's safety Donte Taylor announced his decision to commit to the RedHawks on Monday afternoon via Twitter, despite Miami being his only offer so far according to 247Sports.

Taylor, who had 67 tackles, seven passes broken up, and two interceptions in 2015, is rated as a two-star prospect 247Sports and boasts the kind of frame (6' 1", 203 lbs.) that you would want as a freshman DB in a Division I program. You can check out his junior year highlights courtesy of Hudl:

With Taylor making his decision, the 'Hawks now have commits at every level of the defense, with Logan SpeyerRyan Newton, and Andrew Sharp already in the fold. With a handful of days before the recruiting trail really heats up, the Red and White seems a good foundation for another strong recruiting class.
