The future of CMU is starting to look rather bright. After locking up a verbal commitment from offensive lineman Nick Follmer on Tuesday, John Bonamego and the Central Michigan coaching staff have received their third pledge of the 2017 recruiting cycle. On Saturday morning Belleville (MI) standout linebacker George Douglas announced via his Twitter page that he will play on the college level for the Chippewas.
Thank You to everyone that made this Journey possible

Central Michigan wasn't the only college program trying to add the two-star prospect to their roster. Receiving numerous scholarship offers during the process, Eastern Michigan, Buffalo, and Western Michigan were just a few of the schools after the 6'1, 210-pound soon-to-be senior.
When Douglas joins the Chippewas he won't be the only Belleville alum on the squad. Central Michigan running back Jay Roberson, and linebacker Carlos Clark were both Belleville Tigers before arriving in Mt. Pleasant.
