He announced an offer from Miami last night, his 10th reported offer.

Mehelic chose Miami over reported offers from Toledo, Kent State, Youngstown State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Robert Morris, Bucknell, and George Southern.
Shortly after his commitment, he caught up with Hustle Belt to discuss his decision.
"I really loved the staff and how they are turning the program around into a winning tradition."
When thinking about the future of Miami, similarities to his high school team come to mind.
"A program [that] is a lot like Hudson. Not very good of a team, and then they turn the program around to a winning team."
Currently, Mehelic plays both tight end and defensive end for Hudson, however he projects as a tight end at the next level.
