2017 Miami Football Recruiting: TE Adam Mehelic commits to the RedHawks

Miami landed its fifth commitment of the 2017 recruiting cycle on Friday evening.

Tight end Adam Mehelic announced his commitment to the RedHawks on Friday evening. Mehelic is their fifth commitment thus far in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

He announced an offer from Miami last night, his 10th reported offer.

Just a few hours later, Mehelic announced his commitment to the RedHawks.

Mehelic chose Miami over reported offers from Toledo, Kent State, Youngstown State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Robert Morris, Bucknell, and George Southern.

Shortly after his commitment, he caught up with Hustle Belt to discuss his decision.

"I really loved the staff and how they are turning the program around into a winning tradition."

When thinking about the future of Miami, similarities to his high school team come to mind.

"A program [that] is a lot like Hudson. Not very good of a team, and then they turn the program around to a winning team."

Currently, Mehelic plays both tight end and defensive end for Hudson, however he projects as a tight end at the next level.
