EMU landed its second commitment for the class of 2017, both on the offensive side of the ball.
Quarterback Preston Hutchinson announced his commitment to the Eagles on Sunday evening on his Twitter account.

Hutchinson stands at 6-foot-2, weighs 195 pounds, and currently attends Mason high school located in Mason, Ohio.
He has gone mostly under-the-radar thus far as EMU is his only reported offer.
Shortly after his commitment, Hutchinson caught up with Hustle Belt to talk about his decision.
On why he chose EMU:
"The main reason was because of how REAL and genuine I felt the coaches were."
On what he is most looking forward to once he arrives at EMU:
"Just to help turn around the program as much as I can and get EMU to a winning culture."
Hutchinson possesses good pocket presence and displays pinpoint accuracy in throws 20-25 yards down the field. He rolls out of the pocket frequently, displaying a tenacity to extend plays and turn a would be sack into a first down. He would benefit from a redshirt year once he reaches EMU to better prepare him for the next level, but after that Hutchinson should push for playing time and at worst provide some much needed depth at the quarterback position.
