WMU just keeps adding more talent into the mix, and that did not change this week with the commitment of WR Luke Sanders.
— Luke Sanders (@lukesand12) July 29, 2016
Sanders chose the Broncos over reported offers from Air Force, Army, Ball State, Columbia, EMU, and Elon.
The 6-foot-4 193 wide-out currently attends Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana. Cathedral is a local powerhouse where he caught 51 passes for 806 yards and 10 touchdowns. Who was their starting quarterback, you ask? Max Bortenschlager, a one-time Buffalo commit who wound up signing with Maryland in the class of 2016.
Sanders not only excels at catching the football, he also plays long snapper. If WMU ever finds themselves with an injured long-snapper, Sanders is more than capable of filling in. Who knows, he could turn out to be starting long-snapper while carving out a role at wide receiver. With a combination of size and above-average speed look for Sanders to stretch the field in Kalamazoo.
