EMU fans have to be on cloud nine right about now. First off, their team is off to an impressive 3-1 start. Now, they have landed highly touted ATH Jairus Grissom.

Grissom boasts an impressive reported offer list that includes CMU, Houston, Kent State, Miami, NC State, Ohio, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Toledo, Wake Forest, and WMU.
Grissom told Hustle Belt that “EMU always felt like home, I built a great relationship with the coaching staff & they kept their word. They want me to come in and play QB.”
The 6-foot-2, 204 pound athlete possesses some serious versatility. At quarterback, he is a threat to take off and run at any time. At safety, he is able to use his combination of height and athleticism to his advantage. Although it would be nice to see Grissom hold the ball a little closer to his body at times during his frequent QB keepers, he gives opposing defenses headaches with his arm strength on top of his impressive running skills.
