Head coach Mike Jinks received some exciting news late Monday evening with the commitment of 3-star DT Caylon May.

May announced his commitment Monday evening on Twitter.

May committed to the Falcons over reported offers from CMU, WMU, Ball State, Buffalo, Illinois State, Miami, and Colorado State.

Shortly after committing, Hustle Belt caught up with May to discuss why he thought Bowling Green was the right place for him.

“I [went] down on my official visit with my mom and I enjoyed myself and had a good time learning more about the university, their players and their culture. My mom loves it and I love it so BG is the place for me.”

The 6-foot-3 290 pound defensive tackle currently attends Rich Central high school in Olympia Fields, Illinois.

As far as rankings are concerned, Scout rates May a top 5 defensive tackle in the state of Illinois as well as a top 75 defensive tackle.

Bowling Green is currently sitting at number two in 247Sports MAC recruiting rankings. With former Toledo commit 4-star RB Michael Warren considering other programs, Bowling Green could bypass Toledo to the number one spot.
