Toledo and their coaching staff had a productive weekend, landing two more 3-star recruits. Despite losing the commitment of OL Vincent McConnell, the Rockets wasted no time in replacing him with yet another talented lineman.

Kedonis Haslem announced his commitment on Saturday afternoon.

Haslem currently attends St. Thomas Aquinas high school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Haslem chose the Rockets over reported offers from FIU, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Temple, and West Virginia. Most of these reported offers came during Haslem’s junior year.

He is also the son of 3-time NBA champion and current Miami Heat forward, Udonis Haslem.

ATH Davyn Flenord also committed to the Rockets over the weekend. Flenord is the son of Gerald Wallace, who also is a former NBA star.

Flenord chose the Rockets over reported FBS offers from UMass, Troy, and South Alabama.

Flenord currently plays wide receiver and defensive back in high school, however it is unclear at this time which position he’ll play at the next level. It is possible that Flenord could get the opportunity to work out at both positions over the summer before ultimately settling on one or the other. At 6-foot-3 185 pounds, Flenord could become a red-zone target for Logan Woodside as soon as next season.
