Offense Breakdown
This class brings in a lot of offensive weapons, with two quarterbacks who both could compete early, and a lot of playmakers on the outside. An under the radar player to watch for is TE Travis Koontz (who originally committed to BG, flipped to Toledo, then flipped back to BG) with a need at TE, Koontz could also see the field early and play. WR Calvin Clater is a guy who joined this class late in the cycle, however has the ability to make a big-time impact. QB Jarret Doege looks like he will be a perfect fit in Bowling Green’s offensive scheme as he can pretty much throw the ball across the field at will.
Defense Breakdown
The Falcons definitely needed some help up front, and they filled that need taking multiple talented DT’s in this class. This defensive class should bring in a good mixture of size and speed. Two players that stick out are, DT Caylon May and S Wayne Parks. Parks is a ballhawk and a hard hitter, should make a lot of noise. May is one of those DT’s that the potential is there, and could breakout. One guy that will be able to see the field early is DB Cedric Mitchell, as an explosive athlete we fully expect him to see the field early and make plays. DL Tyree Jackson was a nice Signing Day surprise for the Falcons. He is tough as nails in the trenches, and will most likely line up at defensive tackle once he arrives on campus.
Overall Breakdown
Overall this class brought in guys that seem to fit their system, and some of these incoming players could see the field early. This class also seemed to fill the holes, and add extra depth at some positions.
