Keith Wenning and Company are moving the ball well in the 2nd quarter after a slightly disappointing first. Nevertheless, due to defensive stoutness, the Ball State Cardinals lead the Western Michigan Broncos 17-3 at the half.
Wenning is 16-for-25 for a TD and 201 yards and Horatio Banks has added an additional 56 yards on 7 carries and a TD on the ground. Wenning has found Jamill Smith and Willie Snead for a combined 10 catches for 130 yards and the touchdown between them.
Meanwhile, WMU has all been shut-down after a decent opening drive which saw them score only their 4th, 5th, and 6th points of the 1st quarter all season.
Zach Terrell is 8-for-13 for 96 yards and threw just 1 INT, a failed Hail Mary to end the half. Dareyon Chance has added 60 yards on 6 carries as well, but 49 of them came on 1 huge carry on that opening drive. Corey Davis has 4 catches for 50 yards as well.
WMU will receive the ball to start the 2nd half.
