HALFTIME: Navy Leads Toledo 14-10

This one should be much, much worse than it actually is, but somehow Toledo finds itself very much in the game at halftime, trailing 14-10.  The Rockets' defense looks lost in its matchup against Navy's triple option offense. Perpetually lost.

The Midshipman have rushed for 207 yards on 41 carries, and has actually thrown for a passing touchdown. They struck first, finishing off an 8-play 75-yard drive with a two yard rushing touchdown by Chris Swain. Toledo responded with a 47-yard field goal by Jeremiah Detmer. If not for a Navy fumble on the Toledo 32-yard line early in the second half, the Rockets would likely be down three scores right now. Instead Jayrone Elliott scoped and score on a 68-yard fumble recovery. The Midshipmen responded just before halftime though with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Keenan Reynolds to Noah Copeland to give them the 14-10 lead.

But Toledo's offense has struggled. The Rockets have managed just 127 yards, and have turned the ball over once. Terrance Owens has looked bad, and if not for David Fluellen and Kareem Hunt, Toledo's offense would be existent.
