MAC Football Week 7 TV Schedule Overview: When, Where and What To Watch

Week 7 is upon us, and this week we have a slate full of interesting story lines. Can Ohio finally find some success against a reeling CMU team? Will Bufflo's high scoring ways keep up or will WMU's ship finally start to float? Is Miami-UMass possibly the worst FBS matchup, ever? Watch and find out.

These two fans are excited to watch the Minutemen take on Miami this week in the cavernous, echoy, ghost town of a stadium that is Gillette Stadium on Saturdays.

Saturday, Noon Eastern Michigan 1-4 (0-2 MAC) Army 2-4 CBS Sports Network
Check your local listings for this one. Odds are you don't have this channel, and probably didn't even know it exists. Don't worry though, I already know how this one turns out. The Eagles hang with Army for about a quarter and a half, but by the end of the second quarter their lack of scoring ability shows. Army wins by three scores, Tyler Benz will throw for 300+ yards, and no touchdowns, and Ron English will somehow still have a job after it's all over. I know Don, sometimes life isn't fair.
Saturday, 2 p.m. Central Michigan 2-4 (1-1 MAC) Ohio 4-1 (1-0 MAC) Time Warner SportsChannel / ESPN3
If you live in Ohio and have a premium Time Warner Cable package, you should have this channel, but if you're like me and only have standard cable, this isn't one of your 70 channels, and you won't be able to watch it on ESPN3 either. The game is blacked out on ESPN3 for Ohio residents. You're best bet is to get down to Peden. CMU has dominated Ohio historically and Frank Solich especially, so as bad as the Chips are, this should be an interesting one.
Saturday, 2 p.m. Buffalo 3-2 (1-0 MAC) Western Michigan 0-6 (0-2 MAC) ESPN3
Thank the MAC gods for ESPN3! This one is available for streaming and should be a fun one. WMU and its charismatic head coach P.J. Fleck are searching for their first win, while Buffalo has looked like a mid-major juggernaut these past two weeks. Can the Bulls hangs 40+ points for a third straight week? Will the Broncos ship finally quit taking on water? How many jokes can one blog make about "Row the Boat"? Tune in to find out.
Saturday, 3 p.m. Miami 0-5 (0-1 MAC) UMass 0-5 (0-1 MAC) ESPN3
Why the heck isn't ESPN picking this one up? This has the possibility to be the single worst game ever played in FBS history, and that's not hyperbole. Both of these teams could still manage to come out winless from this game, because they're both that bad. Oh and to make things more interesting, this will be the first game under Miami interim coach Mike Bath, after the RedHawks canned Don Treadwell Sunday. We shall dub this the Toilet Bowl, and it shall be gloriously awful.
Saturday, 3 p.m. Kent State 2-4 (1-2 MAC) Ball State 5-1 (2-0 MAC) ESPN3
Dri Archer and Trayion Durham vs. Keith Wenning and Jahwan Edwards. The flashy offense of the Golden Flashes vs. the high flying turf show of the Cardinals. This game will be available online on ESPN3 and it should feature plenty of exciting MACtion sure to cause your computer to overheat.
Saturday, 5 p.m. Akron 1-5 (0-2 MAC) Northern Illinois 5-0 (1-0 MAC) ESPN3
Hide your young children's eyes, this one is sure to be full of carnage. The Huskies are ready to feast on some Roos after taking care of Kent State a week ago. Akron was manhandled by Ohio at home, and now heads into the formidable Huskie Stadium, a place in which NIU hasn't lost a game in 22 straight contests. Expect to see Jordan Lynch and the dog pack in the endzone often.
Saturday, 7 30 p.m. Bowling Green 5-1 (3-0 MAC) Mississippi State 2-3 (0-2 SEC) FOX Sports Net
Check your local listings for this one. If you live in Ohio or Mississippi you should be good, if not, you're likely out of luck as well. But, if you can watch this one, tune in. BG is on a mission to prove it can hang with an AQ school, and this is the Falcons best chance for an impressive resume-building victory until November 12. Bowling Green has the nations 6th best offense, and will need to flex that offensive muscle in order to come out with a win against the Bulldogs Top 25 defense.
