No one saw this coming. In the biggest moment of the 2013 MAC Football season the Northern Illinois Huskies fell victim to a rolling Bowling Green team. The Falcons jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Matt Johnson emerged as a superstar, tossing for five touchdowns en route to burying NIU's BCS dreams and possibly Jordan Lynch's chances of a trip to New York.
BG did the unthinkable, knocking off the two-time reigning MAC Champions by twenty points. At the same time the Falcons snapped the nation's longest running conference winning streak and may have just established themselves as the new power in the MAC.
