Bowling Green Leads Northern Illinois 31-13 At The Half

Matt Johnson and the Bowling Green Falcons are playing out of their minds at the Marathon MAC Championship Game at Ford Field. Johnson has completed 16 of 19 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns.

Jordan Lynch and the NIU Huskies entered the game as heavy favorites. However, lightning has struck four times with four different Falcon receivers catching touchdown strikes so far. Johnson's elusiveness has been a big factor in BG scoring drives as time and again it has been his fleet feet that have kept drives alive and the NIU offense of the field.

Falcon Ronnie Moore leads all BG receivers with 145 yards on six catches. Moore has been a Huskie killer in the first half by catching a touchdown pass and going for a spectacular run after a catch that set up a field goal in the first half.

BGSU has out gained NIU 381 to 229. The bright spot for the Huskies has been placekicker Mathew Sims, who has two long field goals.
