Miami RedHawks vs. Ohio Bobcats: How To Watch

Ohio must win this rivalry match in order to become bowl-eligible; can they do the deed?

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

In the only weeknight #MACtion of the week, two teams that share the same stomping grounds are slated to face each other for the final game of both their seasons.

The Miami RedHawks (2-9, 2-5 MAC) play host in this game, and have played very scrappy football in their games thus far this season.  They have certainly played better than their season record indicates; they kept Michigan close in 3 1/2 quarters, and took CMU to the final play on the road. Andrew Hendrix and Quinten Rollins are the players to watch for on an energetic RedHawks squad that should come back and cause problems next year.

The Ohio Bobcats (5-6, 3-4 MAC) desparately needs a win here in order to even be considered for a bowl match this season; lots of weak wins and bad conference losses have combined to bring their bowl streak into question. That being said, Derrius Vick and A.J. Ouellette seem to be the answer for the Bobcats going forward, as they have carries the vast majority of the offense in the conference slate of the games.

The Battle of the Bricks  starts with this competition, and in a season full of disappointment for both sides, it would be wonderful to get a win over a hated rival.
