Are you ready to get back into #MACtion?
Tonight, the weather should hold up and what better time? With Ohio and Buffalo going at it to keep slim bowl hopes alive in one game, and Ball State and NIU going at it for the Bronze Stalk (among a slew of other things in the MAC West), it's time to get your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy another amazing night of football.
Buffalo visiting Ohio should be fun for all. Despite their troubles (see: losing your coach), Joe Licata and Anthone Taylor have this Bull offense moving. Tonight, they'll face Derrius Vick, who steps back under center after being benched for the now injured J.D. Sprague. A.J. Ouellette should also be back, giving the Bobcats a solid 1-2 punch with Daz'mond Patterson also slicing and dicing. You can catch that game on ESPNU
Meanwhile, NIU and Ball State will have all eyes on them over on ESPN2. Ball State has been on fire since Jack Milas took over for Ozzie Mann. This offense is clicking, and they are 2-1 since the switch, with wins over Akron and Central Michigan. Speaking of the Chips, they are the only team to beat NIU in the past three MAC regular season slates, but tonight could be the night that ends with the Huskies looking vulnerable for the first time in years. Drew Hare may need to pull a magician out of his hat (see what I did there?), but if NIU can beat their rivals, it will be their best win in conference play, and send a message to the rest of the conference that the MAC West still goes through Dekalb.
So go ahead and chat it up below. Both games start at 8.
