The 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List was announced this week and seven members of the MAC have been named to the list. They are Ohio wide receiver Chase Cochran, Central Michigan wide receiver Titus Davis, Toledo kicker Jeremiah Detmer, Northern Illinois safety Dechane Durante, Ball State running back Jahwan Edwards, Toledo center Greg Mancz and Buffalo safety Adam Redden.
Cochran should be the Bobcats' lead receiving target this season and is coming off a season where he scored four touchdowns. Davis scored eight touchdowns for Central Michigan last season and also pulled in over 1,000 yards receiving. Detmer was also named to the Lou Groza Award Watch List (which recognizes the top kicker in college football) and is regarded as one of the top kickers in the nation.
Durante started every game last year for the Huskies and recorded double-digit tackles in every game but one. Ball State's Edwards rushed for over 1,000 yards the last two seasons and has also scored 28 rushing touchdowns in the span (39 for his career). Mancz, the linchpin of Toledo's offensive line, was one of the eight players from the MAC named to the Rotary Award Watch List over the summer. Redden, who originally came to Buffalo as a wide receiver, was named one of the top 250 athletes in college football by ESPN.
Toledo running back David Fluellen and Northern Illinois safety Jimmie Ward represented the MAC last year as a member of the South team. Fluellen was recently traded by the Philadelphia Eagles to the Indianapolis Colts, while Ward is a safety for the San Francisco 49ers and is contention for playing time as a nickel corner.
The 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl takes place January 24 in Mobile, Alabama.
