In 30 minutes the agony of a summer without #MACtion will be over. MAC football season officially begins tonight with three MAC teams opening their seasons, all at home, all on ESPN3.

Akron, NIU and CMU all kick off their quests for a MAC Championship, all against FCS foes. The Akron Zips take on Howard in what will probably be the most competitive game of the night. NIU faces Presbyterian in hopes of improving their nations-best home-winning streak to 27. Central Michigan faces Chattanooga in what Chippewas fans hope will be the first of many wins this fall.
We've previewed all three, and given you plenty of content in preparation for the season. now all there is left to do is sit back, crack open a few cold ones, and enjoy the MACtion (oh, and live chat it all with us here).
