Akron Zips vs. Howard Bison: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio, Streaming and More

Akron's quest for bowl eligibility begins today when they open the season at home against the Howard Bison at 7 p.m. The Zips are coming off their best season in several years, having went 5-7 in 2013, and snapping a multi-year FBS losing streak in the process.

Having received a few votes to win the East in this year's MAC Media Poll, akron seems poised to take the next step and return to a bowl game for the first time since 2005. Though Howard isn't a name-brand foe, the Bison are coming off of a respectable 6-6 season in the FCS. The MEAC team will provide a nice tune-up challenge for the Zips. Akron has played Howard one time before, and holds the series lead 1-0.
