Injury Update: Titus Davis Suffered Knee Sprain According To Dan Enos

In the fourth quarter of CMU's 20-16 win over FCS Chattanooga Thursday night, star senior wide receiver Titus Davis took a brutal hit to the side of his left knee while returning a pooch punt. Davis was on the ground for a few seconds in obvious pain, and had to be carried off the field by his teammates. he did not return and was seen at the end of the game on crutches, his knee wrapped in ice.

According to Nate Schneider of the Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun, the early reports on Davis' knee are a sprain.

This could mean several things, and until more details come out—probably early next week after some tests come back —we won't know for certain. According to Nicolas A. Lewis, our resident physical therapist, the best case scenario if it is a sprain of one of Davis' knee ligaments, is he will at least miss two to three weeks.

No matter what the end result is, it's an awful way for CMU's season to start off.
