Bowling Green vs. Western Kentucky Open Chat

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

It's Bowling Green on the road in Bowling Green (Kentucky) tonight as the defending Mid-American Conference champions open up 2014 on the road against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. This will mark the beginning of a new era in BGSU football as it's the first time we'll get to see Dino Babers' offense in action with the Falcons roster.

Juniors Matt Johnson and Travis Greene are back and ready to somehow top their 2013 seasons thanks to this new Baylor-inspired up-tempo scheme that can run around 80-90 plays a game, and the defense, which has lost several key starters from a season ago, will try to keep up this fall.

Better yet, this game is televised on national TV:

Western Kentucky Bowling Green 7:30 p.m. CBS Sports Network

Tonight's game marks one of the only times this year you won't be able to catch a MAC football game on ESPN3 as this game is being broadcast on CBS Sports Network. You can stream the game via CBS Sports' site.

The Falcons are currently a 7.5 point favorite in this matchup, and our very own Keith Scheessele says take the Falconsand lay the points.

We'll be watching the game, and chatting about this new #FalconFast offense here, so crack open a beer and join us as we get ready to kick some C-USA a**.

Do we think BG can top 40 points in the first game under Babers? Give us your thoughts below.
