This hasn't been the ideal start for the Ball State Cardinals. Sure, a lot of people predicted them to fall to Iowa, but I don't think anyone saw the loss to Indiana State coming. Fortunately, Ball State finally gets to see how they compare to a MAC opponent. They will be going back on the road to take on Toledo. Last year, the Cardinals were able to narrowly beat the Rockets, 31-24.
Ball State really hasn't done anything incredible offensively this year. They have a strong running game, but that's about it. Toledo, on the other hand, is a polar opposite. They average 37.3 points per game. Considering they have went up against good programs such as Missouri and Cincinnati, it's very impressive. Toledo hasn't been able to stop their opponents offense this year, giving up 42.3 points per game. However, Missouri and Cincinnati have a much better offense than Ball State this year, so we will see if this statistic stands true.
