After two exciting wins in their opening games, the Chippewas came crashing back down to earth last week in a 40-3 loss against the Syracuse Orange. The Chips will be looking to rebound as they take on another Power Five conference team, this time it's the Kansas Jayhawks.
Much like the Chippewas, the Jayhawks started their season with a close win against an FCS opponent when they opened their season with a 34-28 victory over SE Missouri State. Also just like the Chips, the Jayhawks were blown out by an ACC opponent last week when they lost to Duke by a score of 41-3.
This week's matchup will be a test for two teams looking to recover from disastrous games last week. The biggest question is whether the CMU running game will be able to produce without star running back Thomas Rawls.
