Helping your team to a win over the Big Ten will get you noticed. The MAC announced the winners of the Players of the Week Awards for Week Two on Monday, with the two wins over the B1G taking center stage.

Central Michigan Chippewas running back Thomas Rawls found the Ross-Ade Stadium endzone twice on Saturday on 155 yards rushing, giving the Chips an easy 38-17 win at Purdue.  Rawls, who also caught three balls for 50 yards, earned the West Division Offensive Player of the Week honor.

The West Defensive Player Award went to Northern Illinois Huskies linebacker Rasheen Lemon.  The junior registered two sacks and a career-high nine tackles in the 23-15 win over Northwestern.

Out East, Buffalo Bulls quarterback Joe Licata threw for 401 yards and five touchdowns, the later setting an FBS school record.  Licata gets the East Offensive Player of the Week Award.  UB fell to Army 47-39

A career-high ten tackles for Ohio Bobcats linebacker Quentin Poling in Ohio's 20-3 loss at Kentucky was worthy of the Defensive Player of the Week prize in the East.

On special teams, Bowling Green Falcons return man Ryan Burbrink gets the East prize for his 75-yard punt return touchdown in the home opening win over VMI.  Toledo Rockets kicker Jeremiah Detmer gets the West award, hitting a 40-yard field goal and register four touchbacks on kickoffs in the loss to Missouri.  Detmer had a 44-yard field goal attempt blocked, because #MACKickers.
