College Football Rankings: Toledo, Bowling Green unranked but receive votes

The Toledo Rockets fell out of this week's AP and coaches' top 25 this week following their 32-27 loss to the Northern Illinois Huskies. However, the Rockets are still receiving votes in both polls. In the AP poll, they are ranked sixth in the Receiving Votes category with four points. They're eighth in the coaches' poll among non-ranked teams with eight points.

One other MAC team received a vote in this week's polls. The Bowling Green Falcons improved to 7-2 with a 62-24 victory on Wednesday over the Ohio Bobcats. As a result, they received one 25th-place vote in the coaches' poll.

Toledo (37th) and BGSU (39th) are both in the top 40 of this week's Massey Ratings. Each has a huge road game coming up this week, as the Rockets play at Central Michigan, while the Falcons face Western Michigan.

The only ranked Group of 5 teams come from the American Athletic Conference. Four teams from the American are in this week's rankings: Houston, Temple, Navy and Memphis. The Tigers are 25th in both polls despite a 25-point loss to Navy on Saturday. This week, Navy hosts SMU and Temple travels to South Florida. In the marquee matchup, Memphis plays at Houston.

One other Group of 5 game to watch this week is New Mexico at Boise State. The Broncos, along with Western Kentucky, received votes in both polls. WKU does not play.
