It's time for a rubber match!
When the Northern Illinois Huskies (8-4, 6-2) take on the Bowling Green Falcons (9-3, 7-1) for the 2015 MAC Championship, we are due for a treat. The Huskies are here for a 6th straight year, and have used defense to overcome two QB injuries to make it back. Meanwhile, the Falcons are flying high behind MAC Player of the Year Matt Johnson and his arsenal of offensive weapons.
Two years ago, Dave Clawson's stout defense along with Johnson's play drilled the Huskies en route to the Title. Last year, with Johnson on the bench all year long, the Falcons limped in behind a 0-3 record versus the West while NIU drilled the Falcons. Now, we have a rubber match of epic proportions as both coaches' names are being thrown around as potential candidates for major head coaching vacancies. Who wins is anyone's guess, but it'll be #FalconFast vs #TheHardWay for this deciding game.
