Mid-American Conference Football Schedules Released

The Mid-American Conference has released the football schedules for all 12 MAC teams today. In total, eight teams that finished in the final AP Top 25 poll from last season will play against select MAC teams: No. 1 Alabama vs. Kent State, No. 4 Ohio State vs. Bowling Green, No. 9 Iowa vs. Miami, No. 20 Oklahoma State vs. Central Michigan, No. 21 Wisconsin vs. Akron, No. 22 Tennessee vs. Ohio, No. 23 Northwestern vs. Western Michigan and No. 24 Western Kentucky at Miami.

The season opens up on September 1 with Central Michigan playing host to Presbyterian, and the MAC Championship game played at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. (ESPN2). There will be 17 nationally televised games through ESPN2, ESPNU and CBS Sports Network.

Mid-week #MACtion begins on Thursday, October 27 with two games: Buffalo vs. Akron and Toledo vs. Ohio. Our first pair of Tuesday night games feature Northern Illinois vs. Bowling Green and Ball State vs. Western Michigan. Aside from Black Friday games, there will be nine days through the in-conference calendar with non-Saturday games.

Times for games to start will start being announced in June.
