Former Kentucky OG Jarrett LaRubbio to Transfer to Miami RedHawks

Redshirt sophomore Jarrett LaRubbio will look to make an impact on the RedHawk offensive line in 2017.

Kentucky red-shirt freshman offensive guard Jarrett LaRubbio will be transferring to Miami this year, a source tells Hustle Belt. He will be eligible to play for the RedHawks in 2017 after sitting out this season due to NCAA transfer rules and have two years of eligibility remaining. After being redshirted in 2014 and not playing a down last season, LaRubbio joins Chris Glaser on the offensive line in 2017 with a lot of time between now and National Signing Day for Miami to make some moves up front. LaRubbio should be able to provide experience, intensity at practice, and help the younger players adjust to the college lifestyle while he is unable to play.

A local three-star prospect from Lakota East High School, LaRubbio committed to the Wildcats after receiving offers from such schools as Arizona State, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin.

On film, LaRubbio looks like the big mauler and finisher Miami needs along the offensive line. He will be a guy to keep an eye on when he's finally able to suit up for the RedHawks.
