When I was a young impressionable adolescent in southern Indiana, there were few opportunities to expand my world view as quickly as was possible through the likes of MTV. This was, of course, when the network knew what the M in their title stood for and actually broadcast said music type of things instead of whatever iteration the Road Rules/Real World Inferno Demolisher Challenger Competition was that season's exercise in self gratification for the sake of "fame".

One of the most recognizable talents from that time was none other than Mr. No Limit himself, Master P. Whether he was teaching you the ingredients to crack cocaine, making you say "uhhh!", or alerting you to the extravagance that is bourbon and 'lacs, Master P, his No Limit Soldiers, and most importantly, his gold plated tank, all set the tone. What's Master P doing now, you ask? Commercials for a law firm in Louisville, because.... of course he is.

Master P turns 49 today, so happy birthday to the Ice Cream Man. Let's celebrate with some MAC news...

NCAA Overturns Satellite Camps Ban | SBNation.com
The ink wasn't even dry before that ban was lifted. Good for the MAC on the whole, as they can get eyes on significantly more recruits and maximize the money spent on recruiting travel and oversight. The NCAA did something right, for once. That's the lede here.

Yesterday, Chuck Staben, the President of the University of Idaho who is steering the Vandals away from FBS to the FCS penned an open letter explaining his decision. There are valid points raised and a MAC fan would do well to familiarize themselves with the broader points raised.

The Other Side of the NFL Draft | TigerNet.com
Though not specifically dealing with the MAC, a fascinating look at what it's like for the players that aren't sure fire first round talent. This year's MAC draft class finds themselves in a similar spot.

Fisher Named 2016 Homecoming Grand Marshal | CMUChippewas.com
Speaking of the NFL Draft, the former number one overall selection and current Kansas City Chief Erik Fisher will be the grand marshal for the homecoming festivities for Central Michigan in the fall. I'm not sure what grand marshal activities include other than riding on the trunk of a convertible in the parade, but admittedly, that's pretty awesome.

Kent State with 4 Stroke Lead After Two Rounds of MAC Championship | MAC-Sports.com
Though riding in Homecoming parades isn't my thing, golf most certainly is. Though playing as well as the student athletes at the MAC Championship most assuredly is not. Kent State leads after a brutal weather day for the second round. There was also a hole in one from Northern Illinois' Joo-Young Lee, who has a two shot lead in the individual rankings.
