2015 Miami Football Recruiting: WR James Gardner Flips Commitment From Cincinnati To RedHawks

What a huge night for Chuck Martin. After having a long list of recruits on campus for their official visits, Martin is seeing his hard work start to pay off. Martin had three recruits commit to Miami on Monday, the other two being Luke Mayock and Allan Koikoi. All three commits took their official visits to Miami last weekend.

The most recent commitment of 3-star WR James Gardner is absolutely huge for Miami. Gardner originally committed to Cincinnati over the summer, however he had a change of heart and decided Miami was the best fit for him.

James announced his decision via his Twitter page on Monday night:

Gardner ultimately chose Miami over offers from Appalachian State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, FIU, and Western Michigan. Gardner is ranked 3-stars and considered the #161 WR for the class of 2015 by 247Sports.

At 6-foot-4 190 pounds, Gardner will be a guy who can make an immediate impact on the offensive side of the ball. The RedHawks lacked some play makers on the offensive side of the ball this season and Gardner will bring just that.

RedHawks fans have every reason to be excited about the future of the football team in Oxford.
