Tennessee Titans invite Alex Huettel to rookie mini-camp

Alex Huettel's career was sturdy and dependable, as he started all 55 career games.

Durability? Check.

Helped lead the offense to a pair of MAC titles? Check.

Time to see if he can show the Tennessee Titans that he can hang in the NFL.

Huettel was a more-than-reliable lineman in his four years at Bowling Green, making 55 starts on offense. The Titans went into the draft putting a strong emphasis in quickly building on the offense with Marcus Mariota as their franchise quarterback, their first round pick in last year's draft. Along with another MAC product, fifth-round pick, Tajae Sharpe for Mariota to throw to, they also drafted a pair of offensive linemen, including Michigan State's Jack Conklin, who they traded up to get at no. 8 overall.

Bowling Green has also had other players from their offense be picked up as undrafted free agents as Matt Johnson (Cincinnati Bengals), Roger Lewis (New York Giants) and Travis Greene (Washington) all have shots at the league.
