2015 Northern Illinois Football Recruiting: DE Max Morris Commits To Huskies

The Huskies have been very busy on the recruiting trail lately especially on the offensive side of the ball as they've landed two quarterbacks(Alec Ingold and Daniel Santacaterina), a 3-star running back, and a 3-star offensive lineman. However, they now seem to be turning their focus back to the defensive side of the ball and they proved that by gaining a commitment from defensive end Max Morris last week.

Max Morris, a 6-foot-2 240 pound defensive end, displays great physical strength as he can bench press up to 345 pounds and squat 580 pounds. Morris, who attends Dowling High School in West  Des Moines, Iowa, had just one offer and that was from Northern Illinois. However, Morris was garnering plenty of attention from FBS school such as: Iowa, Iowa State, and Wyoming.

Morris has shown the ability to shed blockers with ease and get into his opponent's backfield quickly. Morris displays a high motor and plays like a guy who has a chip on his shoulder. Morris seems like a guy who is poised to make other schools regret not giving him a chance and seems to be yet another solid addition to Northern Illinois' 2015 recruiting class .
