Kareem Felder originally signed with Ohio State back in February, however did not qualify academically there. Before signing with the Buckeyes, he reported offers from Alabama, Boston College, Cincinnati, Clemson, Iowa, Kent State, Miami (FL), Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Toledo, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia. It will be interesting to see if another MAC program such as Kent State tries to recruit Felder as they were the only other MAC program to offer him originally. It is also possible that Felder looks to go the junior college route as that would allow him to play right away and then transfer to an FBS program in two years. According to Kurelic's report, we won't have to wait very long to hear about Felder's decision as there is a feeling he will decide by the end of the week.

22 players make up Toledo's class.

Once Matt Campbell (and many others from the Toledo Rockets' staff) left for Iowa State and Jason Candle moved up from OC to head coach, covering for recruiting for Toledo went from a lot of fun to a whole lot of fun. Players flipped there, players changed their minds to go elsewhere, then some of those players turned back to stay with Toledo. In any case, the Rockets signed 20 players on the holiday and it was as impressive as expected.

Running Back U

Toledo's so greedy with these players it's not even fair to anybody else. They already have plenty of returning talent on this year's roster, it's the same guys who carried the rock for UT last season: then they go ahead and grab three more high-ceiling prospects. Ronnie Jones and Nevone McCrimmon are both 3-star players by 247Sports. Jones is the 40-th best prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania and was flirting with 2,000 rushing yards with 29 TD his senior season at Central Catholic HS. Shakif Seymour has is a high 2-star with good size at 5-foot-11, 215 pounds, that rushed for over 1,000 yards in all three seasons in HS with 56 total TD and provides a lot of speed out of the backfield.

Cornerback, secondary depth

The highest-rated player to boost the Toledo secondary is Dedarallo Blue, a Florida native. He could actually play some linebacker too, but either way he'll have some high expectations from an old teammate of his in Aaron Covington if nothing else.

Keelen Roberts, also from Florida, has decent size at 6-foot-0 and has really good speed at the position. From West Bloomfield, Michigan comes Justin Clark who had five other offers, including some other MAC schools, Southern Ilinois, Temple and Army (per 247Sports). Another 2-star corner Zach Ford earned reported offers from Bowling Green and Miami.

Playmakers at WR, no QB though

The most popular receiver on the team is Neru N'Shaka, who could've ended up playing in the ACC (de-committed from Virginia) or with Wisconsin, but the 5-foot-10 receiver signed with Toledo. Calvin Jackson recently committed to Toledo and was also being looked at by Matt Campbell at Iowa State. Not a lot of height with them or 5-foot-11 Desmond Phillips, but the Rockets to also bring in a pair of 6-foot-5 tight ends in Keidren Davis and Nate Swart.

The class, however, does not feature a quarterback. That's not a problem though, seems how they already have five on the current roster and none of them are seniors.

Shortly after his announcement, McCoy discussed his commitment with Hustle Belt.

"I feel like its my home away from home. It feels like family there. There is a sense of comfort there. Even though I was committed to Toledo, Coach Bonamego and the whole coaching staff treated me like I was one of their own. I have nothing against Toledo but I felt that Central was the best fit for me."

McCoy is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and reports offers from Army, Buffalo, Cincinnati, EMU, Navy, Temple, Bowling Green, Toledo, and Ohio.

Although McCoy is considered a highly regarded recruit, yet expects a lot of himself and hopes to be a role model both on and off the field.

"I just hope to become a better young man that little kids can look up to and say want to be like me one day. That's on and off the field."

Toledo landed a huge commitment from 3-star defensive back Dedarallo Blue on Friday evening.

Jason Candle has been extremely successful on the recruiting trail since taking over the program. The Sunshine State has been a key to his success and has his program's future looking bright.

Most recently, 3-star defensive back Dedarallo Blue announced his commitment to the Rockets on Friday evening.

Shortly after this announcement, Blue caught up with Hustle Belt to discuss his decision.

"I have former teammates there. Well Toledo, I can't really say anything else about them, but I've been thinking about them all the time. The coaches are great. I feel that Toledo needs me to come in and make an impact immediately."

Blue is referring to high school teammates Aaron Covington and Diontae Johnson, members of Toledo's 2015 recruiting class, all of which he cited as a big reason that he chose the Rockets.

Recruiting Profile:

Dedarallo Blue | Committed to Toledo | Seffner, Florida (Armwood)

DB | 5'8 | 180 lbs. | 247Sports Composite: 78, 0.8178 (★★★)

Twitter: @ARAlvarado13 @MAC_Crootin

Another interesting tidbit about Blue is that he ultimately chose Toledo over reported offers from Iowa State and North Dakota State. The fact that Blue chose Toledo over Iowa State is huge for Candle and his staff. Toledo always had success on the recruiting trail during Matt Campbell's tenure, and it does not look like things will be changing under Jason Candle.

Candle and his staff seem to have recruited someone who is motivated to succeed at the next level. Blue actually has a few goals that he hopes to accomplish while at Toledo.

"Well, I want to do well in the classroom, start as a freshman, and just enjoy being part of the program."

By our count, Blue is Toledo's 21st commitment of the 2016 recruiting class and the fifth defensive back to join the fold.

The former Air Force pledge will now suit up for Toledo.

Just like nearly every program in the country the Toledo football coaching staff are trying to build a pipeline in the state of Florida. Their hard work on the recruiting trail is finally starting to pay off. After securing a firm verbal commitment from Miami Jackson athlete Desmond Phillips last week, the Rockets picked up a pledge from three-star defensive back Jamal Hudson of Miami Central High School on new years eve.

"I spoke to Coach Ciccone and Coach Candle. They were very excited. They were keeping up with me since they offered me, and Coach Ciccone was on me before they offered. Toledo and Coach Candle made me feel comfortable around the community. I haven't taken a visit yet but I will on the 15th. I can't really tell you if it is home, but Coach Candle make it feel like home." Hudson, a former Air Force commit stated to Hustle Belt as a few of the reasons why he decided UT was the right place for him to continue the next chapter of his athletic and academic career.

Blessed with good speed and cover skills, Hudson could suit up at safety for the Rockets, but believes cornerback will be his position on the college level.

"As far as I know three cornerbacks are seniors and are leaving. Corner should be the place, but I can play both." He said.
