2015 Toledo Football Recruiting: QB Mitchell Guadagni Commits to Rockets

Quarterback Mitchell Guadagni, from Hudson, Ohio is the sixth commitment of the Toledo Rockets 2015 class, having verbally committed on May 6, 2014.

It was no shock to see the Rockets pursue a quarterback after losing Terrance Owens to graduation this offseason.

Guadagni also had offers from Buffalo, Kent State, and Western Michigan before ultimately deciding on the Rockets.

A 6-foot-2, 175-pound pro style quarterback, Guadagni chose to stay close to home. He will have plenty of time to develop learning behind Philip Ely who came to the Rockets as a transfer from Alabama last season.

Rated a 2 star quarterback by 247Sports, he will be a welcomed piece. As a junior Guadagni showed off his wheels when he posted 913 rushing yards and seven touchdown runs while tossing the ball for 2,029 yards and 22 touchdowns and led his high school team to a 10-2 record.

Check out his Hudl highlights and see why the Rockets have reason to be excited.
