After Kent State stole the recruiting spotlight last weekend, UMass decided to one up the Golden Flashes this weekend. UMass had a huge weekend on the recruiting trail, landing seven verbal commitments.
The Minutemen landed 3-star RB Sekai Lindsey. Lindsey was committed to Pittsburgh at one time but decommitted in December. Lindsey reports offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Indiana, NC State, Pittsburgh, and South Florida among others.
Kicker Michael Caggiano is ranked the 34th best kicker in the country by Kohl's Kicking and chose UMass over reported offers from Hawaii and Stony Brook.
Artayvious Lynn is a 6-foot-6 tight end from Bossier City, Louisiana who chose the Minutemen over a listed offer from South Alabama.

This has to be the most active recruiting weekend for UMass in a long time. Seven commitments in one weekend is a great accomplishment for coach Whipple and is staff, especially considering they only had 8 verbal commitments before the weekend.
