The Bowling Green Falcons entered their Sunday night home game as underdogs against a team they had not beaten in their last nine tries. They fell behind those Akron Zips 9-2 early and trailed 15-7 with just under 11:30 left in the first half.
Bowling Green needed a spark, so Jehvon Clarke swiped the ball from Demetrius Treadwell. In the front court, Clarke fed Richaun Holmes, who was trailing the play. The lane was wide open, save for poor Pat Forsythe. Forsythe tried to interfere with Holmes' path to the basket, but Holmes had already launched himself. He went through Forsythe as if he wasn't even there and threw down a hard one-handed dunk.
For his bad luck of occupying the wrong space at the wrong time, Forsythe was called for a foul on the play. In the end, however, it did not matter as Akron eventually beat Bowling Green on a last-second shot by Quincy Diggs.
