2015 Western Michigan Football Recruiting: LB Paul Engram Commits to Broncos

Last year P.J. Fleck overtook Toledo head coach Matt Campbell as the conference's top recruiter. But this year, Fleck managed to take it a step further and flip one of Campbell's commits to WMU.

Paul Engram, a 6-foot, 205 pound linebacker from Detroit, had committed to the Rockets on April 5, 2014, but a little more than a month later the 2-star linebacker (247Sports Composite) flipped his commitment to Western Michigan.

The Loyola, Michigan native also holds an offer from Eastern Illinois. He's considered a Top-50 prospect in the state of Michigan.

Despite his smaller frame for a middle linebacker, Engram packs a mighty punch when he hits. He has good instincts, and wraps up while driving through the ball carrier well, but the smaller frame combine with less than ideal agility and athleticism are likely why he's not ranked higher and seeing more offers. That said, he certainly has potential, and with a college strength and conditioning program could easily bulk up while improving his agility..
